"How are We
supposed
to treat others?"
"There are no others."
-Sri Ramana Maharshi
I began my career as an assistant public defender in Miami's specialized Domestic Violence Courts. Representing people accused of crimes, everyday, with hundreds of clients in my division over my tenure, gave me a unique insight into the nature and litigation of Domestic Family criminal and civil cases. I learned that stories often have more than two-sides; it takes a keen open-minded ear to hear them all.
After leaving the Miami public defender's office I went into private practice, where I remain today.
While in practice as a private attorney I have prepared and or tried many cases in Florida's criminal and civil courts. My experience extends from Criminal Defense, Immigration, Complex products liability cases and more. The level of the case does not matter to me, the goal is always the same; to use my gifts, talents and training to help people.
I have been a member the Florida Bar in Good Standing for over 15 years. I am a proud graduate of Gerry Spence's Trial Lawyer's College at the College and Graduate 1 & 2 Levels.
I have also had the honorable experience of working with Justice Advocacy Africa, traveling to Uganda, Botswana and Kenya to teach lawyers advanced litigation skills.
My passions, other than helping people within the practice of Law include, Family, Fitness, Reading, Traveling, Teaching Yoga, Meditation and Sound Healing; especially to children. I believe we all have the ability to change the world by realizing that we are all one and have a shared responsibility to the collective.
